Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer providing oversight and direction for ship repair and modernization projects by planning maintenance requirements and implementing technical priorities to ensure efficient waterfront operations. Examples of Qualifying Experience may be: Holds a valid or has held a USCG Merchant Mariner Unlimited HP Engineering License (Highly Desirable) Possesses a Subject Matter Expert level of knowledge of shipboard HM&E systems. Act as Port Engineer and head of a maintenance team for all planning and execution of maintenance. Have spent time in shipyards as a lead of maintenance strategies and future planning Plan and adhere to a maintenance budget Prepare and attend Flag level briefs as a Subject Matter Expert on the class of ship assigned..
